Spring 2017 - Best English class I have taken at UCLA. Dr. Lewak is incredibly helpful, insightful, and understands what it is like to be an English major in this day and age. The books we read were all great. Although there is a film component to this class, Dr. Lewak is mindful that most of us are not film students so she always gives background and explains in laymen terms. She is very helpful for the papers and will meet with you as long/ as many times as you would like. She also really cares about you developing strong writing skills and helps you produce the best work you can! She is very understanding and an approachable person. Overall, I loved the class.
