Winter 2017 - I absolutely ADORE Professor Prescott! Not only is she great at teaching, but she also truly cares about her students and their personal growth. She is an amazingly cool, funny, and kind professor. There were a few papers that we had to write over the course of the quarter but we got a lot of time for it. The service learning part was incredible; I went to 826LA and I had the best time ever! I didn't really know what service learning was until I took this course. I honestly feel like my opinion of service learning would have been different had I taken an SL class with a different professor. I actually took this class only because I knew Prescott would be teaching it because I know how amazing she is. Prescott is definitely one of the best professors I'll have at UCLA and I recommend this class to everyone interested in a fun EngComp 3 course. She has some really cool anecdotes and gives great advice and is overall incredible. Seriously, just take this class with Prescott she's AWESOME :) I'm a big fan
