Professor Hewitt really cares about her students. I would recommend going to her office hours where she really helps you work out your essay. She's very available and concerned. When I took the class the themes were really interesting and and she really knew what she was talking about. Overall I had a good experience but as for an English Comp 3 class, you could probably find easier ones. So if you are looking for an easy A this probably isn't the right class for you.

Fall 2023 - Dr. Hitchner has changed the theme of the class from Music to Food for quite some time now, and I think it’s a universally relatable topic that I unexpectedly enjoyed! The short-story readings from American Food Writing are very managable. He’s approchable in class and during office hours.
