Professor Hewitt really cares about her students. I would recommend going to her office hours where she really helps you work out your essay. She's very available and concerned. When I took the class the themes were really interesting and and she really knew what she was talking about. Overall I had a good experience but as for an English Comp 3 class, you could probably find easier ones. So if you are looking for an easy A this probably isn't the right class for you.

Fall 2023 - Dr. Hitcher is a solid professor for an easy GE, and I can second most of the praise he has been given in the past. However, I should note that in my experience taking him, he took the entire quarter to grade anything, and I never even got my final essay grade before they were due in December. This tardiness made assigned drafts a mess occasionally, and the syllabus null in void quickly. Nevertheless, a great writing class, but not the most punctual.
