Fall 2023 - Professor Johnson's class was a great class to take my first year. She has such a positive attitude and awesome style. As a young professor, she is truly relevant and understands the needs of a student. Her class doesn't have much work but there are essays and discussions that are the biggest portion of your grade. She also does conferences to go over your essays and you end up becoming really close with your group. The only issue I experienced was that she wouldn't grade and their were a few issues that came up before the end of the quarter and I was unsure of my grade. In my opinion, she was a great professor and I would definitely take this class with Professor Johnson for EngComp 2.

Fall 2023 - Professor Ketai is amazing!! She is insanely helpful which she demonstrates through giving lots of feedback on our essay. I really enjoyed peer review and feel like I become a pretty good editor by the end of the course. Her lectures are super engaging and the class is pretty small so you'll know everyone pretty fast. Participation does matter in this class in fact it is 25% of your course grade so make you go to lectures.

Spring 2019 - Easiest class ever with a kind and helpful professor! As long as you participate in class discussions, complete the assignments, attend mandatory conferences, and continually work on your essays throughout the quarter, you'll do stellar. Lisle is constructive with her comments, and if you fix what she has asked you to change in your essay, she'll love that. The class had many mini assignments throughout the quarter (about two per week) that should only take you about 30 minutes each to complete. There were three 5-page essays due at the end of the quarter that you submit in a portfolio with your original drafts that you worked on with her. Again, if you stay on top of your work throughout the quarter, you will do great. I'm selling her course reader for $10! Email me at ************* if you're interested.

Fall 2021 - Honestly, you can't ask more from Professor/Lecturer Lisovsky. Your final grade is based on 4 projects (3 essays, 1 video or 4 essays) and they aren't graded harshly at all + some hw on readings (1hr each). Even if you aren't happy with your grade, he gives you chances to REVISE/REDO essays and that will bump the grade up by 5-10% easily. PS: You can literally be 15 minutes late to his class and he will still welcome you to the class, no questions asked. ONE WORD: CHILL. TAKE HIS CLASS!
