Description: (Same as African American Studies M194A.) Seminar, three hours; laboratory, two hours (when scheduled). Enforced corequisite: course M182A or M183A. Research seminar designed to provide opportunity to combine theory and practice in study of human development in educational contexts. Focus on relationship between theories of development, culture, and language. May be taken independently for credit. Letter grading.

I took this class Fall Quarter of 2013. Easy A, Orellana is more concerned with the students understanding of the material opposed to focusing on harsh grading. This class is taken with a field visit. So field notes will be required. They can be time consuming so give yourself an hour at least to do them.
