Spring 2020 - Professor Purves did her best to make online teaching as effective as possible. She moved around deadlines and listened to feedback and adjusted the way she taught class. She even found pdfs of every single reading (so you didn't have to spend any money at all in this class!). She's, like, mom funny too. Content-wise the class is really interesting, the readings are all mostly easy and entertaining, and the grading was pretty gentle. The class has two vocab quizzes, a short writing assignment, a longer paper, and an (optional this time) final. It sounds like a lot, but nothing is that difficult. Definitely recommend!

Fall 2014 - Fell asleep in almost all her lecture. The class sounds promising, but there were some dreadfully boring parts. There were a midterm, a final, and two papers, and the TA went through some sample exam questions during the discussion sections, so ultimately it was very manageable. If you're looking for a relatively easy GE, this class is a pretty good decision. As for interesting class, maybe pick another more engaging professor?
