Spring 2024 - Jose was an amazing teacher for CHEM 156. He always encouraged his students to learn and be engaged with the class. Although 9 AM was not the optimal time for the class, it was still doable. His exams were fair and very homework based, which is great. He is very approachable as well as knows how to talk to his students. Overall, Jose is great and the only one you should take 156 with.

The professor is not as bad as everyone thinks. He's really nice, cares about his students...but his lectures are kinda boring. The exams were based mostly on concepts and the averages were around the 60s. I would recommend this professor becuase it's not that diffiult to get a good grade in his course.
