Winter 2024 - Professor Jung-Kim is really nice and helpful. She allows a 24-hr extension for essays as long as you ask for it - no questions asked. However, the two essays worth 70% of our grades which makes it quite difficult for people to bounce back if they messed up their first essay (I’m sure you can tho). No, we weren’t pitted against each other (for the previous reviewer) - she just grades pretty harsh. I’m one of the Chinese-speaking students in this class and let me tell you - many of my ESL peers write AMAZINGLY despite their accent when they speak English. So come down to Earth and get rid of your native speaker savior mindset…:/
