Immediate and long-range effects of internment. Emphasis on research. Original paper based on primary sources held by University of California required. Letter grading.

Professor Hirabayashi was a great professor. He is an Asian American himself, therefore incorporates his personal stories in his lectures, which makes his class more interesting. He is open to discussions and questions at all times. His exams consists of both multiple questions as well as short answers, which in my case was identification questions. For the multiple choice, he gives four options, and for the identification questions, we had to define and also write its significance in what we were studying.
