Winter 2016 - I absolutely loved this class. I learned so much and was thoroughly engaged. Dr. Stanish is understanding and respectful to the fact that we are putting our time, money, and effort into his class, and he makes it well worth it! He is incredibly supportive but still has high standards for his students. Easily one of my favorite classes I've ever taken.

Dr. Alexei is HILARIOUS! He is by far one of the greatest professors that I have had at UCLA. He is very concerned about the grades that his students make and is always willing to give outside help to ensure the success of those taking his class. Without a doubt, I would take his class again. If you are interested in Anthropology, and especially South American Archaeology, then you would be fortunate to take this class. Alexei is very confident in his knowledge. His class is not easy, nor is it difficult. If you are interested in South American Archaeo, then this class is fair and interesting.
