FLOOR PLANS
Monthly Rent: $3900 - $3900
It's mostly spacious and its physical location is close to campus and Westwood. BUT! Frats are constantly loud on all sides, the helicopter to the hospital is so loud and literally shakes the walls, and the ambulances/sirens at the emergency room go off throughout the night. Parking is $100 each for a tandem and $150 for a single spot. The laundry machines do not work super well and are always eating quarters. Also, while it was raining, the parking lot which is underground would constantly be flooded. The landlord is mostly responsive, but once we left the apartment it took three months to get our deposit back and he was pretty unresponsive. Obed, who does maintenance, was always super nice and helpful. If you like partying or loud environments, you'll enjoy, but if you'd rather study and have a quiet space, it's probably not a good fit.
Terrible management. Maintenance requests often are not fulfilled for a week, meaning you are left to fight it out during a problem. Super cheap and close to campus but also right next to a frat and across from the hospital so expect constant noise. It's a great place to live if you don't want to spend too much money and don't mind getting what you pay for.
This apartment is incredibly convenient, located at a nice intersection of South Campus, De Neve, and Westwood. It's probably one of the closest places you can find to campus. If you are a more social person and enjoy parties, the area is very tolerant of noise and located close to the fraternities. Sue me, but I'm more of the studious type stuck with 8 am classes on Friday, so Thursday nights tend to be incredibly annoying. The close walk to the hospital and South Campus makes it worth it though.
The apartment is moderately clean by Westwood standards, which means it's disgusting by normal standards. It took a lot of cleaning to make the apartment inhabitable.
The landlord and his manager Vida are friendly, accommodating, and helpful.
The girls of 304 NEED to sublet our apartment this summer! It is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath (each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is super nice) with a very spacious dining and living room, a balcony which faces Gayley and a very cool walk through kitchen that is connected to the living and dining rooms so that you still feel like you're in the conversations occuring in the living room even though you're cooking! All bedrooms also have huge walk in closets :) (aka awesome)
Apartments in Westwood always go quick, so it is best to plan early for summer living. Summers in Westwood are completely beautiful with perfect weather everyday, good social atmosphere and virtually no waiting in line for a machine at Wooden.
Also, each bedroom is big enough to house two full beds and still have plenty of floor space for t.v.s, nightstands, chairs, or for nail painting and costume making. We also may include a couch and coffee table with the apartment.
