FLOOR PLANS
Monthly Rent: $1200 - $1200
The building is pretty far from Westwood and campus, and it’s an uncomfortable uphill walk from both—especially when you’re carrying groceries. On weekends, there are always loud parties from the neighbors, which can be really disruptive.
Even though the kitchens and bathrooms are renovated and look nice, the rest of the unit and the building itself are clearly from the 80s, and it shows. The bedroom and bathroom doors are made of opaque glass, which isn’t ideal—it makes it hard to sleep if someone else has the lights on.
If your unit doesn’t have its own washer and dryer, your only option is the single washing machine and dryer in the parking lot. They work with quarters, so you’ll constantly have to run to Ralph’s to get change. It costs $2.50 to wash and $2.25 to dry.
When we moved in, the floors were so dirty that even months later, we were still scrubbing black grime left by the previous tenants.
The rooftop is a nice plus—there’s no time limit on how long you can use it. But the management is a major downside. The landlord is the 22-year-old son of the owner, and it’s obvious he doesn’t take the role seriously. He promised several improvements when we moved in and never followed through. He’s unhelpful when issues come up and even rude when you ask for help. He also treats the maintenance staff poorly, and they’ve mentioned they don’t like working with him.
Rent is paid through an app that’s glitchy and has caused a lot of stress for me and my roommates.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend living here. For $1,200 a month, there are definitely better options out there.
We are UCLA students who moved in after doing an extensive research on apartment in the area, and came to the conclusion this would be the best choice for our group for two major reasons: firstly; with all honesty, the rent is not cheap but it’s reasonable and within our budget. Secondly; of all the apartments we visited, this location has the family-friendly atmosphere. All residents know each other and end up becoming good friends - this is something we are looking for.
The move in was seamlessly. The manager and staff were extremely helpful, and professional. We did a walk through a day after we moved in which gave us an assurance that existing condition of the apartment is properly documented. My only concern is the length of the usage of the Jacuzzi on the roof. We’re hoping it will be extended from 10 pm to 12 midnight. We’re going to make a request on this for sure. So far it's been a great experience. The rental office is always courteous and accommodating, and so is maintenance. We’re glad we picked this as our place of residence. If ever we have another issue we will not hesitate in calling the property manager.
We have lived in our place for 2 years and can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was renting from 507 Glenrock property. Well, it’s not a perfect apartment, but it’s in a good living condition. Ron, the property manager, works tirelessly to keep them that way. He's the most honest property manager I've had during my time living in Los Angeles - he's on call all hours of the day and is responsive, kind, and always working tirelessly to make sure his tenants are content. I would rent from him again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Ron, for giving me such a wonderful place to call home!
I'm an International Student who goes to UCLA for a special program. I remember vividly when i was looking for a place last year, I was about to give up because all apartments i visited in Westwood if not the property manager is rude, management ask for substantial amount of security deposit because of the fact that i'm not a permanent resident here in the US. But when i went to Glenrock Regency, not only the property manager is nice and accommodating, but their system made my apartment hunting a lot easier.
My experience at Glenrock has been amazing so far! I got really lucky with this place and everyone here has been amazing. Ron is the absolute best and is so helpful in every way possible. He really cares about the community and does an amazing job at making sure that all of the residents are always happy. It's a great place for anyone to live -- couldn't give it a higher recommendation.
I would give ZERO stars if I could. Imagine moving in excited all to wake up with roaches creeping out the apartment walls. Then one week later a major pipe bursting with water all over the apartment
Maintenance never gets done their motto is to avoid fixing anything
They smooth talk you in all the way
This place is out of the movie taken!!! Absolutely horrifying and they always make it seem there's no where to live but look around unlike I did there are plenty other options
They post false reviews. No one is happy here. The place is very unkept. Ron will say whatever to get you to move in. Come visit my place to see the truth. I cant wait to leave this messy "palace",
They accuse you of partying when you don't and forget about getting a deposit back. They almost cancelled my hold right before the school year after I placed a hold. I wish they would have now even if I would have been left with nothing. Better to wait for the ucla lottery.
